Where do bowerbirds live?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bowerbirds are native to Australia and Papua New Guinea (PNG), with 10 species only found in PNG and eight only in Australia<\/strong>. Two species are common to both countries. The species found in Australia are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Regent Bowerbird<\/strong> (Sericulus chrysocephalus<\/em>)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Satin Bowerbird<\/strong> (Ptilonorhynchus violaceus<\/em>)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Great Bowerbird<\/strong> (Chlamydera nuchalis<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Green Catbird<\/strong>\u00a0(Ailuroedus crassirostris<\/em>)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Western Bowerbird<\/strong> (Chlamydera guttata<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Golden Bowerbird<\/strong> (Prionodura newtoniana<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Fawn-breasted Bowerbird<\/strong> (Chlamydera cerviniventris<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Tooth-billed Bowerbird<\/strong> (Scenopoeetes dentirostris<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Black-eared Catbird<\/strong> (Ailuroedus melanotis<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Bowerbirds are most commonly found in PNG and northern Australia but extend into central, western and south-eastern Australia. Habitats include rainforest, eucalyptus and acacia forest, and shrublands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
